Lodge is in a good location with nice walks around. The park itself is very nice and well kept. For a self catering lodge some necessities were not included such as kitchen roll, tea towels and oven gloves (not something I’d think to pack)! Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property left a lot to be desired. The smoke alarm went off twice on separate occasions when using the oven due to smoke coming from the oven as it hadn’t been cleaned properly (in the end it was a 2 person job to open the oven and shut quickly and then fan near the fire alarm). The oven trays in the oven hadn’t been cleaned and had left over food on them. The sofa had other peoples hair on it. Glasses were not clean and had to be cleaned before use. The toilet seat lifted off the toilet and the shower electric kept tripping. The lodge looked a little tired and could do with some money spending on it to fix the above along with warped/damaged floors and chunks out of dining chairs/kitchen units. For the money spent it wasn’t worth it.

Had a lovely time at juniper Lodge. Was so peaceful and the accommodation was fabulous. The mattress was softer than I like but we still slept great! Hot tub was fabulous. The only downside was the onsite pub/restaurant stated online it was open for food however at 7pm we walked down to grab a bite and the whole place was closed. We ended up having to drive 8mile to Bellingham to get food. We cannot wait to return to juniper Lodge and are looking at dates now.
