A great location from which to explore Northumbria, Cumbria and even the Scottish borders. The cottage is well equipped and in a quiet location, but in easy reach of the Rose & Crown in nearby Slaley (a community owned pub, with great food). The only thing to note are the two deep steps from the car park into the cottage, would benefit from a handrail.
